Hotel Policies and Information for COVID-19
Check-In Time, Check-Out Time and Late Arrivals
- Check-in time is between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm
- If you plan to arrive before 3:00 pm, you may park in our on-site parking lot
- If you plan to arrive after 7:00 pm, please call us at 707-226-2450 so that we may make special arrangements for your check-in
- Check-out time is 11:00 am
Guarantee and Payment Policy
- At time of booking, we require a valid credit card to guarantee your reservation
- Unless stated differently at time of reservation, we do not charge your credit card in advance
- If paying with cash, a deposit equal to the room, tax and up to $100 per day towards incidentals will be collected at check-in
- Please notify the hotel prior to arriving if you intend to pay for your stay with a gift certificate
- Holidays, special events and group bookings have separate deposit and cancellation policies; please review our cancellation policy and contact the hotel directly for details
Seven Day Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel your reservation seven days or more prior to your arrival date, there is no charge
- If you cancel your reservation within seven days of your arrival date, fail to cancel your reservation, or fail to arrive, your entire stay, plus tax, may be billed to your credit card on file.

Adult Only Property
- The Blackbird Inn and Finch Guest House are historic buildings with staircases, stained glass windows, and multiple balconies and porches. Many rooms have gas fireplaces, and large deep tubs.
- For these reasons, the property is only suitable for Adults ages 18 and over.
Group Reservations
- Three or more rooms, either booked together or individually by parties traveling together, constitutes a group reservation.
- Group reservations at the Blackbird Inn and/or Finch Guest House require a two night minimum, a $200 deposit, and a no cancellation policy.
- To book a group reservation, all four rooms in the Finch Guest House (Rooms 9-12) and/or all eight rooms in the main house (Rooms 1-8) must be booked. This is to ensure that all guests, including those not in your party, will enjoy their stay.

Holiday or Special Event Periods
Reservations during special event or holiday periods are subject to a longer cancellation policy, which will be stated in the confirmation notes. Should you not cancel your reservation within the specified timeframe, you will be charged for all nights of your original reservation. Additionally, a minimum night stay may be required, and early departures will be charged for the minimum length of stay.
Extended Stays & Early Departure Policy
- Reservations for seven days or more are considered Extended Stays, and are subject to pre-payment of the entire amount at the time of reservation
- A 14 day cancellation policy applies on extended stays
- For all reservations cancelled 14 days or more before the date of arrival, your deposit will be refunded minus a $25 processing fee
- Cancellations within 14 days of arrival, will forfeit 50% of the entire amount of the stay
- Once checked-in, early departures are charged for the entire length of the original reservation
Additional Guests
- Room rates are based on single or double occupancy.
- Room 12 (The Loft) is the only room which can accommodate three guests. That room includes a Cal King and twin bed.
- The property is only suitable for Adults ages 18 and over.
Occupancy & Tourism Tax
- Transient occupancy tax and a tourism tax is charged on the room rate only
- Blackbird Inn does not require or assess any additional fees at this hotel such as a resort or amenity tax
Reservations Made Through Online Third Party Agencies
- We highly recommend that you reserve directly with the inn to receive the best rate, but you may use third-party agents such as Expedia.com
- Should you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so through their booking website
- If we need to contact you about important information regarding your reservation, we will be unable to do so as only the online travel agent has your contact information

Guest Identification Required
- Guests are required to present a valid identification at check-in that matches the name on the reservation as well as the credit card used to pay for the guestroom
Smoke-Free Property
- Blackbird Inn and Finch Guest House is a 100% smoke-free and vape-free property (all substances) including: parking lot, porches, balconies, gazebo, and guest rooms
- If smoking occurs, there will be a $200 cleaning fee per night added to your folio
- Cannabis must be stored in an airtight container
Front Desk Hotel Safe Available
- A safe is available at the front desk
- Items checked into the front desk safe are available to access during the inn’s posted front desk hours
- Upon checking an item in, you will receive a written receipt with the declared value
- We cannot accept cash or items valued in excess of $2500 per room
- We are not responsible for any items or valuables left in the guestroom
Dog Policy
- A service dog, as acknowledged by the American with Disabilities Act, is welcome to accompany their owner while staying at the inn
On-Site Parking
- Blackbird Inn offers complimentary parking on-site, one car per room.
